MOMO

MOMO began in the 1960's with a passion for motor racing. Giampiero Moretti, a university student and gentleman driver, had a friend who made a very special steering wheel for Giampiero racing car. It was smaller than the ones normally used. What made it even more unique was its very large handgrip that giving a better grip of the car's steering, making the car easier to handle and drive. This odd steering wheel attracted the attention of many drivers, among them John Surtees of Ferrari. The English driver was enthusiastic after trying it, and had it mounted on his single-seat Formula One car.

After Surtees and Ferrari won the F-1 championship that year, requests for steering wheels began to pour in. What began as a passion grew into a business.
In 1966 a factory in Verona was opened to produce these special steering wheels, giving birth to MOMO (from the initials of Moretti-Monza).
Ferrari was the first to order, deciding to use MOMO steering wheels on all its racing cars. With this formidable entry, MOMO could begin to sell to the international market.

Today, on the circuits around the world, MOMO continues testing and researching to produce the best steering wheels available.

Design, innovation, leading technology, top notch quality and brand image are the keys to MOMO's success.
